Activision's Quarterly Earnings Report was released today, and had a somewhat surprising business announcement within: Guitar Hero is no more. From the report:
"At the same time, due to continued declines in the music genre, the company will disband Activision Publishing's Guitar Hero business unit and discontinue development on its Guitar Hero game for 2011."
Now i personally never liked Guitar Hero, I'm more of a DJ Hero fan myself. So if they were to cancel that I would be hella pissed off cuz i love to rock the 2 turntables and the microphone. So if Activision ever decides to cease production of the "DJ Hero" series, you bet your ass the post on that day will be a long and angry one.
